The decisions we make today will shape Brentwood for years to come.
My priorities are centered on improving the quality of life for Brentwood residents: safer neighborhoods, more jobs close to home, and strong city services and infrastructure that meets our needs.
MY PRIORITIES
Growth That Makes Sense for Brentwood
New development needs to work for the people who live here. We must balance our housing obligations with the roads, infrastructure, services, and long-term costs that come with growth.
✓ Make growth work for residents. Development should include the infrastructure and services needed to support it.
✓ Plan for the long term. Analyze the impact new development will have on our community and residents.
✓ Use our land wisely. Make decisions with Brentwood’s long-term needs in mind.
Safe Neighborhoods
Brentwood is a safe community and a great place to raise a family. Keeping it that way means supporting strong public safety services while staying ahead of the concerns residents are seeing in their neighborhoods.
✓ Invest in public safety. Make sure our public safety services have the staffing, resources, and tools needed to serve Brentwood effectively.
✓ Be prepared for emergencies. Strengthen emergency preparedness and coordination, so Brentwood is ready when residents need help most.
✓ Focus on prevention. Work with residents, schools, and community partners to address speeding and e-bike safety before problems become more serious.
A Stronger Local Economy
A strong local economy means more opportunities for Brentwood residents and more of what we need closer to home. We need to attract new investment while supporting the businesses and industries that already make Brentwood unique.
✓ Bring quality jobs closer to home. Attract employers and investment that create local jobs and make the most of opportunities like the Innovation Center.
✓ Support Downtown and local businesses. Help Brentwood businesses succeed and keep Downtown a vibrant place to shop, dine, and gather.
✓ Build on our agricultural identity. Better connect agriculture and agritourism with Downtown and our local economy, creating new opportunities while preserving an important part of Brentwood’s heritage.
A City That Works for Residents
Local government should provide reliable services, use public dollars responsibly, and make decisions with Brentwood’s long-term needs in mind.
✓ Keep Brentwood financially strong. Maintain healthy reserves, plan for long-term obligations, and avoid decisions that create costs the city can’t sustain.
✓ Take care of what we already have. Maintain the roads, parks, facilities, and infrastructure residents rely on while planning for future needs.
✓ Stay focused and accountable. Make decisions based on the facts, communicate clearly with residents, and keep the focus on what best serves Brentwood.
Keeping the focus on residents.
Every decision our City Council makes has an impact on the people who live here. My focus will be on what those decisions mean for the quality of life of Brentwood residents today and for the years ahead.
